How much does LocStat cost?
CAD $10 a month for your whole family. There's no charge per person, and you can cancel any time.
Do you sell my family's data?
No. We never sell your data and we don't show ads. Families pay for LocStat, and that's our whole business.
Where is my data stored?
In Canada, on servers in Toronto, protected under Canadian privacy law.
Can LocStat staff see where my family is?
No. We built LocStat so our support team can't see anyone's location.
Who is the Angel app for?
Anyone your family looks after: kids with a phone, teens, or a parent or grandparent. It's free to download. A Guardian in your family gives them a pairing code.
Will my kids know they're sharing their location?
Yes. The Angel app always shows when sharing is on. LocStat is for sharing, not spying.
What happens when someone taps “Get help”?
Every Guardian in the family gets an alert with their location right away. LocStat is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 911.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Guardian and Angel are on the App Store and Google Play, and Guardians can also use the web app at locstatsw.com.
Is LocStat available in Quebec?
Not yet. We're preparing the French version and will launch in Quebec soon. Join the waitlist on our website.
What if I stop paying?
You have a 16-day grace period. After that, location sharing and alerts stop, and if the family stays inactive, its data is deleted after 90 days.
